Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £33k – £35k

We are seeking a proactive and creative Social Media & Digital Marketing Executive to manage and grow our online presence across multiple channels. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, data-driven, and passionate about brand storytelling, digital performance, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Manage and grow the brand’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish content across platforms.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and manage community interactions.
  • Track performance metrics and optimise content accordingly.

Email Marketing

  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotions, competition launches/draw dates).
  • Manage and segment email lists.
  • Report on campaign performance and continuously optimise for improved results.

Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Marketing

  • Support growth of our D2C channels through targeted content, promotional calendars, and customer journey improvements.
  • Track performance of D2C activities and suggest data-driven improvements.

Creative & Content Production

  • Create engaging digital assets using Canva (static posts, reels, stories, email graphics, ads).
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Collaborate on content ideas aligned with marketing campaigns and seasonal trends.

Performance Marketing

  • Assist with planning, setting up, and monitoring paid social campaigns.
  • Work with external partners (if applicable) to ensure campaigns deliver strong ROI.
  • Analyse ad performance data and make recommendations for optimisation.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and emerging social platforms.
  • Experience creating graphics/content using Canva.
  • Basic understanding of paid social (Meta Ads) and performance metrics.
  • Strong copywriting, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable analysing data and producing simple reports.
  • Creative eye with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
